Cohiba

Premium Cigars

The name "Cohiba" is an ancient Taina word used to define the rolled tobacco leaves that smoked and that Columbus saw in Cuba in 1492. The leaves used in the elaboration of Cohiba are of the 5 best Vegas of First of the tobacco districts of San Juan and Martínez and San Luis, in the area of Vuelta Abajo. It is the only Habanos brand in which 3 of the 4 types of leaves that are used in its elaboration, dry, light and medium time, undergo additional fermentation in barrels.

The history and legacy of Cohiba Cuban cigars, one of the most sought-after cigar brands in the world

Cohiba cigars have a rich history that dates back to the early 1960s in Cuba. The brand was initially created as a private-label cigar for Fidel Castro and other high-ranking officials, with production taking place in a secret location known as the El Laguito factory. The cigars were not made available to the public until the mid-1980s, but their reputation for quality and prestige had already begun to spread. Today, Cohiba cigars are known around the world for their exceptional flavor, construction, and overall smoking experience.

Cohiba's rise to global prominence began in the 1980s when the brand was first introduced to the international market. Since then, Cohiba has become one of the most iconic cigar manufacturers in Cuba and the world. The brand's reputation for quality has only continued to grow, with Cohiba cigars often being considered the very finest Cuban cigars available. Cohiba's success can be attributed to its commitment to using only the highest quality tobacco and employing skilled craftsmen to ensure consistency and excellence in every cigar.

The history and legacy of Cohiba Cuban cigars reputation for quality and prestige has made it a popular choice for cigar aficionados and collectors worldwide. The brand has also become a symbol of luxury and sophistication, with Cohiba cigars often being given as gifts to honor foreign dignitaries and other VIPs. Despite its exclusivity, Cohiba cigars are available for purchase online and in select cigar shops around the world. While they may come with a premium price tag, the exceptional smoking experience and unparalleled quality of Cohiba cigars make them well worth the investment.
